Last Night, Thai Night in North Yorkshire

I am a bit behind with the blogs(As you can see, this was meant to be written at the end of December) and today I have decided to spend the day updating the blogs.

To recap after christmas me and the husband went away for the weekend to North Yorkshire. On our last night, we chose to go for a Thai meal. The food was lovely and so was the company….(Have to complement the husband sometimes).

So after looking at the menu, we decided to go for Pak Tod, which was a mixture of deep fried vegetables including broccoli, carrot, butternut squash, courgette and mixed peppers, served with sweet chilli sauce. Along with this starter we had deep fried golden chunks of tofu served with sweet chilli sauce. Both starters were throughly enjoyed as they were hot but also crunchy.

Moving onto the mains, the husband had Pad Pak Prik Yourk, which was a Thai-style black bean stir-fry with tofu, red and green pepper, carrot and onion. He had this with Pad Thai, which is stir fried noodles with bean sprouts, carrot, spring onion, ground peanut. He throughly enjoyed his meal and was happy. You know what they say, happy husband means a easy life for the wife….Haha

For the mains I had Tofu Pad Broccoli, which was stir fried tofu with broccoli, onions and carrots with Thai Jasmine rice. This was very nice as the tofu was nice and crunchy and the vegetables were well cooked.

Our drinks were a plain oranage juice for the husband, while I had mocktail of pineapple, mango and lime mixed with lemonade. The mocktail was very nice and was very refreshing.

Overall we both enjoyed our meals and it was a lovely end to our weekend away.
